Ms. Jennifer Schappert / Policy Analyst Textile & Garment Responsible Business Conduct Unit Investment Division Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, OECD

Jennifer Schappert leads the OECD’s work on responsible supply chains in the garment and footwear sectors. Within this role, Jennifer leads the development of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector, which sets out a common understanding of due diligence in the sector. This OECD Guidance was developed through an intensive multi-stakeholder process, endorsed by business, trade unions, and civil society and approved by 46 governments. Following the launch of the Guidance on 8 February, Jennifer is leading the OECD’s implementation platform to boost industry capacity, support the alignment of government and industry initiatives with OECD Guidance, and support implementation through analysis.

Prior to the OECD, Jennifer was a manager at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) where she managed a workplace-based training program for workers in the garment, footwear, and ICT supply chains operating in 9 countries across Asia and Africa.
